“The Wretched” was not a bad horror movie. A genius “indie” film it is not, and doesn’t really need that much hype, but as horror movies go, I enjoyed it. It is more of a “mindfuck” type of movie in the vein of Stir of Echoes, Jacob’s Ladder, or The Others, and its charm is in its atmospheric creepiness more than its jump-scares or even really its somewhat predictable ending. The concept is ambitious and admirable none-the-less.
