Damn this movie ripped my head off! In a good way. So much depth to it. It is simultaneously surreal and political, and the film balanced itself in an oddly fashioned, rhythmic way, despite its absolute disregard for any movie-goer expectations, in a way that is complimentary and also kind of an assault on the viewer. It’s like the political views are not thinly veiled, but they aren’t brow-beating in the sense that they come off as propaganda. It’s more like the mystery and confusion is a form of revenge. It’s a clever movie, in many ways. It’s nice to watch a movie that was made for intelligent people, and also whose characters have thoughtful conversations, even if I don’t know all of the cultural references.
